I have a Hewlett-Packard Deskjet printer that I've had at least 10 years, maybe more. Makes great prints, I like it, built like a tank, don't plan to replace it. The problem is Staples and BestBuy no longer stock the 45 Black and 78 Tri-color ink packs. The salesmen say "They don't make em no more" which is BS because they want to sell me a new 3-in-1.
So I go online to HP, they have them, I order them, they arrive fine. But the 78 Tri-color is off color, prints look funky. That happened to me once before with Staples, they swapped it for a good one.
I emailed the problem to HP, suggested I would send it back for a new one. Well it's been opened and used, useless to them now.
Today I got a notice that they were sending me a free replacement, complete $00.00.
I thought it was decent of HP to do that. Not a big deal but those things run about $40+ each. Made my day so far :thumbup:

I have the HP Deskjet Plus which was the second version of the first Deskjet. I bought it in 1990 and up until a few years ago when I gave it away because I moved it still worked perfectly like new.
