short hunt starting to get hot
You have good equipment. Now you need to adjust your technique.
1.) Shoot at or very near Minimum Focusing Distance, so you keep post processing cropping to a minimum;
2.) NEVER use aperture f/36 due to extreme "Small Aperture Diffraction"; Aperture f/16 should be your minimum aperture;
3.) I suggest ISO 200, as ISO 1000 introduces way too much digital noise;
4.) After above adjustments, select an appropriate shutter duration;
