Sony 90 mm f2.8 versus Sony Zeiss Batis 85mm 1.8

Am looking to get a good macro that I can use as an all around lens as well. Have pondered over the Sony 90mm 2.8 or the new Zeiss Batis 85mm 1.8 for my Sony Alpha 7ii. Both have their plus and minuses. Am leaning towards the Batis. Any thoughts and recommendations? Does anyone have either lens and what are their thoughts?

I have heard nothing but superlative reports of the Batis lens. Seems like all the reviews of the new Sony A7Rii are also reaching for the Batis lens to do their testing. This has to say something.

I have not yet found any documentation that the Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 is a macro lens. It's list price is $1,200.00.
I do see a reference to a Minimum Focusing Distance of 80-cm, which is 31.5-inches, NOT close enough for 1:1 magnification:
