My first try at astro-photography. No meteors but, Milky Way & satellite trail in lower left (if you look close). This was from Wed. early am. Last night's viewing marred by storm clouds. Waited til 2 am, then gave up.

I tried to 4 am... the predicted shower of approx 100 an hour never materialized.. at least I didn't see it and it was fairly clear here. I did see a few, very few meteors.
same story here, tv said 4 am over 100 a hr . yea right not 1 from 3am till past 6 am.

The local weatherman GUARANTEED clear skies. Got up at 1AM, went out, completely cloudy. Watched the skies until 4:30AM when it cleared just as the sun started coming up. No meteors here.
I had even gotten permission to go to a local park area that closes at sunset. But I never went over. It was four blocks from my house so same sky. Bummer!
