Meteor Preparation

Well, I was going out to check out the skies for the meteor shower tonight and while walking out, something didn't seem right to my eyes.

So, to hell with night vision, I had my wife come out and use her iphone to get some light.

What a frigging BIG SPIDER and a HUGE WEB. It was about 2 feet in front of me and I would have joined him in the web if I hadn't got a weird feeling.

They are not the best photos but gives you an idea of what was there.

Him/Her
Him/Her...

The web

I hate spiders. I would have assumed room temperature if I had walked into it.

I like the second shot, I hate walking into a spider web.

Sarge, this is a red letter day and I am putting gold stars all over my calendar. I never----NEVER!!!---thought I'd see YOU post photos of a spider or it's web. You did a great job and thanks for the reminder about the meteor shower. I'll watch for spiders while I'm outside :) :) I'm aboundingly happy you did not become her next snack :) :)

And as you walked away, a tiny voice said, "Curses! Foiled Again! That would have been enough to last all winter and feed all the babies as well!"

I had my wife illuminate the beast. I stayed away. P900 has great zoom but needed more light to get a focus.
Spiders are still my worst enemy. Squash, smash
