Northern Mockingbird...Strike a pose?

I stumbled upon this Mockingbird and initially thought it was injured. Had my 140mm macro lens on but was close enough to get a shot. Went to step a little closer and it just flew away! Odd behavior but Ive seen them do strange things before. Bob

Hmmm... I don't know if it had a nest nearby or doing the dirt bath thing. I wasn't moving though -until it flew off. Bob

She was probably trying her best to fake you out for one reason or another...perhaps a nest nearby? Good shot, Bob!
