Tamron 150-600 mm TEST

Before purchasing the Tamron 150-600 mm I tried it out at my local camera store. Photos taken from same spot across parking lot and major street. Shot with Nikon D7100

tell me more. were these handheld or tripod images? did the lens have stabilization? thank you

Photos were taken handheld. And lens does have VC visual stabilation which I believe was on. Lens is like 8 lbs so it's hefty and takes some getting use to holding in hand. 1st photo is at 150mm and 2nd photo at 600mm.

So the 35mm equivalent focal length was 225mm and 900mm?

The focus on the 150 end is a bit soft, lens issue or perhaps some camera shake. The 600 end looks tack sharp.

could be camera shake as I was having trouble keeping it steady, however got better with use.
