Thanks to a wonderful women, I now have my camera bag back. I left my bag with two cameras and 3 lens in the bleachers at my daughters basketball game! I drove home and hour and 45 minutes when I realized I didn't have it. Started to freak out, got the number of the basketball coordinator and called her at 11:15 pm...started to explain who I was when she kindly said....I have your camera bag! She was so sweet she even offered to meet me half way! I drove to her job the next day with flowers and a gift card! My name is now on the inside of my bag and I am adding my equipment to my insurance. Lesson learned! So grateful that there are honest and kind people out there!

That is a lucky break.
If I found someone's camera bag I'd be torn between just leaving it there in case the owner came back, placing faith in my fellow man and turning it in somewhere or taking it with the hope of finding the owner.
Have you added your name to the exif data in your camera? I saw that here from another Hog and added it to mine, just in case.

I actually turned one in before. I was at a small concert/club. I was taking pictures when the guy next to me started talking photography, he had his camera bag etc but forgot his battery at home so he wasn't taking pics. At the end of the night after he left I saw his camera bag under the table. He forgot it because he was not using it. I brought it to the manager and asked that they put it in the safe because he would be calling for it. I wonder if he got it back!
I had almost the same thing happen. But Here is a good site you might like to try out. Should your camera be taken and they start sharing photos from your camera.

Glad you got your camera back! Had a similar "OMG" moment once when I'd left my work-related Day Planner notebook on top of my car and drove off. (I did get it back too when a man found it in the street and called me).

Wonderful! That's a lot better than finding it on ebay.
