Yesterday my better half and I were the official videographers for a wedding held at The Gardens at Peacock Farms in Arroyo grande. During the reception the official photographers took off with the bride and groom for a few sunset snaps. So this was my opportunity to snap a few candid moments.
Catching emotion trumps perfect exposure, well IMO
Here are the bride's 2 daughters, both were flower girls and this was the special moment I caught .....

You are correct. I think in today's world, emotion sells more photos than fancy "poses". Not to belittle the "returns" (a little "Ziserism" for you, I still call them "formals") I got a few of grandma crying while talking to the bride during the reception, that in my opinion, is the best shot I got all day.
