Madame Pocahontas is on staff at the Ministry of Mayhem as Resident Wicked Witch, but she's not particularly wicked, and is actually the Martian's spiritual advisor. He's been spending a lot of time closeted with her since the Guardian's visit earlier in the week, no doubt getting her advice on how to save his bacon.

She's a very youthful 237 years old, but she takes good care of herself, and I don't think she looks a day over 150.

In her spare time, she hits the local carnival circuit as a Gypsy fortune teller, and for a few bucks, gives excellent advice on romance, and is a darned sight more accurate at weather forecasting than the National Weather Service.

And she's a heck of a good cook. I've already mentioned her recipe for Baked Stuffed Children has won the blue at the local agricultural fair three years running, and her Brownies Flambe' is out of this world. Catching the Brownies before they become Girl Scouts is a real challenge, I don't know how she does it!

Okay, so she's a little wicked. But I like her anyway.

Thanks, Bob. This is actually my first foray into Wicked Witch portraiture. From what I see on the monitor, Madame Pocahontas has put the whammy on her image, as in person she does look every bit of that 237 years old (I was just being polite when I said she only looked 150).

Seriously, this lovely young woman works for me (she owns Chopper, the Peruvian Piranha Dog) and was gracious enough to let me shoot her, even knowing full well I'd botch the job, lol.

Thanks for visiting and your kind comment. A little out of my comfort zone. Different from shooting cats, dancing flowers and supernovas, but it was still fun.

Madame Pocahontas certainly doesn't look either wicked nor her 237 years. I'm sure she can give Martian some good advice, but will he take it? BTW almost anyone can predict the weather better than theNational Weather Service.

I can predict the weather better than the National Weather Service, never mind Madame Pocahontas here, lol. In fact, my neighbor's brain-damaged dog could predict the weather better than the National Weather Service, lol. And on one of his bad days...

Madame Pocahontas isn't especially wicked, if truth be told, she's actually rather nice. And she's remarkably well-preserved for her 237 years, lol.

Glad you enjoyed the image, first time I've done Wicked Witches. She's used a bit of magic so that the photo doesn't reflect her age. It's a help. ; )

Thanks for your visit, I always appreciate them!

Thanks, Matt. I'm pleased you didn't point and laugh. This is my first official Wicked Witch portrait. In fact, my first portrait of anything without either petals or fur. I hardly ever do birds, and NEVER do people or wicked witches. Until now.

Fun trying something new, stretch the mental legs, learn a thing or two. Glad you enjoyed the image, and thanks very much for your kind comment. It's much appreciated!

"Catching the Brownies before they become Girl Scouts" ...ROTFL, Randy!!

Did Chopper's mom have any idea what kind of tall tale you intended to include with her portrait? :)

Very nicely done, btw!

Thanks, Bob. Thought it turned out well, but probably more due to the way she looks than anything I did, lol. But I'll pass your compliment along. (Thank goodness for those curvy lines, as I'm told wicked witches have a thing for raccoons...)

She certainly is a very youthful 237 years old beauty and doesn't look wicked at all!! Is she using Martian's plutonium as a beauty cream? If so I'm placing my order today!!
Nice portrait Randy and your stories get more and more interesting as the days pass!!

 :D :D

Thanks, Linda. Did you like that crack? LOL

And yes, I told her roughly what I had in mind (well, sort of, but yes, I got her permission, or I wouldn't have posted the photo). She's enjoyed Martian's adventures with Chopper, has helped me shoot him and the cats on occasion, and she reads my ridiculous posts, and after some twelve years on and off of working together, she's pretty well aware of how crazy I am.

And yet she stays. Amazing. She's a good person, a huge help, and not at all wicked. Well, maybe a little, lol. ; )

Glad you enjoyed the image. It's not like working up a dog or cat, I can tell you that, lol. Learn as you go...

Did a few of her and the others, thought this was one of the nicer ones.

Thanks for your visit and positive comment on the photo. You could have pointed and laughed... So thanks for not doing that. : )

Thanks, Angela. Martian gave her a few tubes of the Llama Lotion he brought back from Peru. Great stuff and works like magic at taking out wrinkles and revitalizing skin, even tho it has no plutonium. He'll probably get around to adding his plutonium to it one of these days, and then the price of the stuff'll go thru the roof! If I were you, I'd order a few tubes of Llama Lotion just to have on hand. You never know when you might need it, as it's also good for fixing cracks in your driveway or patching your roof.

LOL

Glad you liked this. I don't often do Wicked Witch portraits, seemed like a good opportunity to expand my photographic horizons.

Thanks for looking and your kind words, always much appreciated!

The most attractive wicked witch I have ever seen and I have seen a few ;)
Wears her age very well. Hope she keeps Martian on the right track and out of trouble!
This is a beautiful portrait Randy, excellent work.  :)
