I have been watching this site for a few months. Retired and been taking pictures for a long time. My D90 is my forth digital camera, but I have over 2500 slides from my Argus. Hope to post some pictures soon.

Welcome to the forum, JET. I'd be interested in how you convert your slides. I've always been disappointed with the results I've had so far.

I converted all my slides a few years ago. I purchased an Epson Perfection 1200 Photo scanner. It really worked great. I could scan 4 slides at a time, and then work on them. I first saved all of then, about 2500, just as they were scanned, but later worked each one with Photoshop Elements. Also, I would give them a date that was on the slide, example July 1956 etc., so I would have something to go by. When I was at Michigan State I took some slides, and I'll post three to show you the resulted. A friend of mine was a pilot, and I had a chanch to get some pictures about the university. Also, I should tell you that the Epson scanner I have, the software that I used to scan the slides does not work in Windows 7. I still use the seanner, but I can't do slides anymore.
