My D750 is a GREAT Camera. Because I was an early purchaser, my camera did have the flare issue.

I sent it back this Monday, and according to UPS, it arrived on Tuesday. Today (Thursday) I called Nikon to learn about the status.

It seems that Nikon has about a 10 day backlog of camera's to repair, so I will not see my Camera back for a few weeks.

It will be a sad few weeks as I miss this awesome camera. Thankfully I do have a D7100 which is also a good camera, and the controls are 90% the same as the D750, so I can keep shooting.

I hope the backlog shrinks and I see my camera back soon, it will get a warm welcome when it is back in my hands.

My D750 was recalled for both issues although I could not ever see the issue for either recall with my camera. I sent it in both times. I'm awaiting its return from the 2nd recall as I type this.

What's puzzling about this second issue is that I have seen no user complaints, nor has Nikon been very specific about the nature of the problem. With the first issue all cameras in the affected serial number range would show the issue when certain lenses were used and the camera pointed at a direct light source. In this instance it's not clear whether all cameras in the affected range can be made to show the problem, or only some.

You would think after the 610 debacle...

I thought the oil spots on sensor was with the D600. I read that the problem did not occur with the D610. Could you confirm that the D610 was giving problems ?? and what were the problems /debacle.

No it was the 600. The 610 came out later possibly in response to this. No problems with the 610 that I know of.

Lots of people were upset at Nikon when they came out with the 610. Nikon wouldn't acknowledg the problem with the 600 for awhile and the price of the 600 that people bought dropped when the 610 came out which irked lots of people. Finally Nikon grabbed hold of the problem and began fixing it.

Just got my 750 back. Shutter replaced, everything cleaned and checked. Took just over a week. Not bad, Nikon.
