I have never seen this before. Answered it and it was a robo call selling home security systems. Wonder how the caller ID knew it was a scam.

Just got the same call at 3:49 pm today also. Same phone number. Did not pick up. I've got the same Panasonic phones as dirty Dave so maybe they are "smartphones" that can spot an illegal call.

Parkersburg is a great place. I have a friend that runs gun shows there in Lubeck, Mineral wells and Ripley. Also my mean sister in law lives there in Parkersburg. It is great seeing a another West Virginian on here.

So your provider (Suddenlink) has the technology to detect scam calls ... wonder why mine (AT&T) doesn't???

Would not surprise me at all :)

However I've never seen this with Sprint, Verizon or T-Mobile either ... if they had it you'd think they'd use it in marketing, right?

Interesting.

It was only that one phone number that came up as "illegal scam". Other numbers come up with different descriptions like "out of area" or even some business's name. Go figure. :|

Interesting ... I get the 'out of area' and phony names/numbers, just hadn't ever seen the scam message.

One of these days I'm going to move and disconnect my landline permanently ... ought to drive these crooks nuts :)

Thanks.
