Saw this young lady at a festival a while back. The other young folks were dancing and playing but she seemed lost in thought.

Life can be cold.

Lost in thought or possibly rejection. Life can be very cruel. You captured in well.

I like the composition, but I'm not sure I'm crazy about the skin tones in the conversion to B&W. Maybe it was the look you were going for, but normally, I would kind of want/expect the skin tones to be a bit brighter.

If you don't mind my asking, how did you do the conversion? Which filter?

The photo itself could be powerful, but the skin keeps holding me back.

Russ Elkins "Palepictures here on UHH " is amazing at black and white. Others are really getting awesome results by following his system.

Nothing dramatic on the conversion. I appreciate the advice and I have checked out his work. Maybe someday soon I can find time to concentrate on PP.
