This is my first try with live critters. Man these guys are small, and they have stripes. I never knew they had stripes. I know I have lots of room for improvement so all critique welcome.

Looks pretty good for a first try. What equipment are you using for these shots? If we know what your using, maybe we can offer advise.

Naturepics, these were shot with a Nikon D3, Nikkor105 G lens and an SB700 speed light. All shots are hand held.

Not too shabby! :thumbup:
A few suggestions:
1.) Add more diffusion to speedlight (current diffusion?);
2.) Lower ISO to lessen digital noise;
3.) Increase aperture to f/16 to gain 1-stop ISO, and to reduce 'small aperture diffraction'.
