I love them Tony!! I too have a love of seashells and have a very large collection. I never thought of foam core for backdrop. It totally fits the bill as it is a flat black so has no shine or reflection from a flash!!! Thanks for sharing.

These are so beautiful! It looks like some of them have lighting coming from the side. The sea urchin looks like the light is coming from underneath.
Don't know if you posted it earlier or not, but would like to know the equipment used, the settings and how this was set up in regards to placement of lights, if any, etc.
A most enjoyable series of photographs Tony.
I liked them all.
Well taken and presented.
These are all very striking. I especially like the lighting on number 12. I presume you used the SX50 for these also?

What I especially like about your photos is that there's no mistaking what the subject is, and you shoot in such a way that we can really appreciate the beauty that's there.
Ahhhh YES! Tony I'm beginning to recognize your style - masterful lighting with clear details.
Just what is a black foam core? I may have to look into one of those for myself.
Now that is a good idea! I've only bought a piece of black foam core one time to use as a backer for a photo in a shadow box. Always wondered how I could do good shots of photo frame's I make, have to try that!
Another set of absolutely stunning shots.
