Welcome to the Night Photography Challenge! Please post your favorite photos taken at night or in low light where similar settings are required. If you've never tried to take photos at night, walk outside and experiment taking a photo of your home with the interior lights blazing. I hope you'll share with us some of your favorite tips. My example photos are from the archives. A couple of shots were taken in the evening 'blue light' window following sunset, and I am including a link that has some great information.

My sweet 86 year old Mom fell and broke her hip yesterday and had surgery this morning. She is doing well and I am thankful. I am posting from her room. I hope to have fresh photos before the challenge is over.

I took this on the fourth waiting for the fireworks to begin, I liked this photo and I am sure that we have all have seen all the fireworks pictures we want to see this year. Also, a photo of one of my Cactus' that bloomed two weeks ago, They only bloom once a year and wilt and die when the sun comes up.

Rufe, thanks for showing me the beauty of the golf courses. Now I understand why people suffer through trying to put a little ball in a little hole far, far away by hitting it with a rod. I t is worth it to be out there in such beautiful places.

MG, hope your mom heals rapidly. You all are in my prayers.
I love the composition of your second image. Thanks for the Peachtree tour. I love the Fox and it's starry ceiling.

Shot last evening, the river road acros from Québec City.

Basically when shooting from river roads in July my best trick, or problem, is learning to deal with skeeters

So sorry that your mom fell,Gracie! I hope all goes well and she is able to regain her ability to walk soon! They have come a long way with rehab skills and prevention of secondary complications.
Thanks you for hosting in spite of all that's going on. That's over the top effort!
Your photos #1 and @ stand out for me! Nice captures!

Probably would never get to see that beautiful night time bloomer,Norm! Are there night time bees that pollinate the blossoms?
