Got some white lily's for my wife for our anniversary. So I thought they would make nice photos. These were each created from stacked photos and merged in PS CC to improve the focus throughout the final image. I used my Tamron 90mm macro, tripod, natural light, Canon 7dII. I'm happy with the results. Click download to see more detail.

Very nice job. What settings did you shoot these at? I've played with this process using a Canon 100 macro on my 6D. Even down to f/16 I've needed 15+ slices to reach the depth you have here. Thanks for posting.

Each stack was @ f/22, manual focus is the key and no IS.

I'll definitely take it down to f/22 next time, but I'm already focusing manually with IS off. Thanks for the reply, and thanks again for posting :)

ps...my ISO was at 400 and I just used light coming in from a window. The SS was anywhere from 1 sec to 2 sec. and I just used the 2 second timer. I was too lazy to get my remote trigger...

You might want to consider lowering your ISO to your camera's minimum to maximize quality since you're on a tripod anyway. No reason not to, eh? Nice effort regardless!

VERY nice! Macro is a favorite of mine. Just received a new macro lens; can't wait to try stacking.
