Thank you, the Cardinal came so close I had to wait for him to move away a little for the camera to focus.(Canon 100-400 Lens)

I can understand that! I have the same lens and have missed may shots because they were too close.

Good catch, it's hard to get a good whale shot. My favorite is the Cardinal, I've never seen one like that, am used to the solid red. Thanks

You're welcome, I photographed this one in Alamoana Park in Honolulu but I also photographed some red ones (Northern Cardinals) on Mauai.

Welcome to the forum. Amazing shots. I have never seen the colors on Cardinals like the one you captured. Keep up the great postings.
