Here is shot of the rings from my step daughters wedding. Taking with a Sigma 105mm macro.

Greg, by chance when you heated those rings up you didn't see this Inscription on the inside of the bands, from Load of the Rings did you.

I really like your backdrop and surface. I've been trying to keep it fresh, and find things to use besides just flowers and/or candles.
I did one with foil that turned out OK, but I really like what you did here. Really beautiful and sharp)

I sure wish I could figure out a good way to catch the colors in the diamonds. I fake it sometimes with photoshop, but that is my newest obsession (trying to figure out a foolproof way to actually get the colors in the diamonds)

I was trying to get a ring shot with the brides shoes but I needed more detail from the rings so the only difference between these shots is the distance to the rings to really make them look big with more detail, so you can see the background is just the bling on her shoes. What I have found to work for these type of shots is to us a video light you can show more detail with out the harsh light reflections off the diamonds and if you can adjust the color temp on the video light 6500k to 7500 k really brings out color in the gold.
