Great shots! Normally I'm not fond of shots with the same color of background as the subject but the weevil is very cool that way... It sets off the gold flecks on his back!

The Cleg fly is quite unusual and brilliant focus on the eyes.

I had never seen one before other than in a book. Thought it was a day flying moth when it landed but when I saw the head it could only be a Cleg Fly. According to the textbooks they a biters but this one just seemed to want to have it's picture taken.
