Just received a call from Alex Fergusion of the United States Treasury! He informed me that if I did not respond to his call a warrent would be issued and I would have to appear in a magistrate court on a federal criminal charge ... I did call him back and he did answer the phone as the US Treasury, but, being the skeptic that I am I questioned him a little further and he could not provide any means of identifying me or himself ... my calls are blocked but he has the number anyroad ... !

I did report the call to the National Do Not Call Center ... his number is 740 692-7480 ...

Unfortunately, during this time I missed a call from '567 - IT Solutions' ... they probably wanted to tell me that my computer would catch fire if I didn't do what they wanted.

This is a scam that has been going around, and I know that you realize this. If you owe money to the gov't they are not going to call you on the phone, but you would be surprised to see how many people fall for this and give out personal information.

Got this call and played them all the way to the end when they told me that if I didn't cough up $4095 immediately that the agents would be at my door and take me away in cuffs! I then asked him for his address so that I could come over there and kick the living crap out of him! I absolutely HATE these scumbags.
Want to have some fun? Ask them where they are located (usually they will spit out NY or wherever) and then ask them quickly - what time is it where you are? This just boggles their mind as they are someewhere in India or Pakistan or God knows where. My wife laughs everytime we get one of these calls and I start with them....

I have a couple of responses at the ready whenever some poor, misguided, ignorant individual calls me like that:

1. Heavy breathing into the phone until they stammer a bit - then say: "I am naked....Are you? Would you like to be my friend and pet my puppy?"

2. Pull the phone away from your mouth - and say - "I know, I know...but there is blood everywhere - you start cleaning up - and I will figure out where to dump him".

One of these will get 'em every time.... :thumbup: :lol:
