the first two pics are tilted. Settings on the camera would help to get the exposure right when you took them.

the first two, while they might have been lovely in person, leave me a bit cold as photos. there's just not nearly enough there to keep me interested or make me want to look closer.

the last one is WAY too 'busy', and lacks any central point of interest... i find myself asking, what is this a picture OF? the branches? the bit of beach visible between them?

landscapes can be hugely rewarding to shoot, but they can also pose tremendous challenges. beyond the basics like level horizons and proper exposure, composition plays a huge part in good landscape photos. you really need a clear central focal point, something that will reach out and grab a viewer by the throat and shout 'look at me, damn you!' good leading lines and/or foreground elements also make a big difference.

keep shooting!

Since I live in Portland, OR I can appreciate coastal photographs. The first is just a tad uneven with regard to your horizon line. Also you need more detail in the cliffs on the left as you have on the second photo.

first one too much water not enough cliff, second one has great potential with some editing. 3rd one is really confusing to look at. I find myself struggling to look through the tree branches to see what? a puddle? or is the branches the main focus. The thought was there just difficult to execute i guess. I see you have a good eye and thats big. You can always work on the other stuff. Take what I say with a grain of salt, im not a pro. Just my opinion. keep shooting though because i like the way you see things. peter
