Same scene, different settings. Had to downsize/downres to get these uploaded. I can post full res later.

Will do. Been having upload problems the last few days. My upload speed seems ok, but the big files (24mb) keep bombing out.
Wow, those are excellent. Interesting how a little different shutter speed made the sun star so much better.

Nice work--I enjoyed both photos.
Really hard for me to pick between these two... I think I like one best because the sun light seems to impact the photo more with the glow touching more of the trees. But I also like the sharpness of the starburst effect in the second one!
Thumbs up for both images!
I like the second frame slightly better. That landscape is just a pleasure for my eyes!
Would you reveal your camera make? Did you use a tripod?
I wonder, why people in this forum usually forget the technical information?
I hope to see more of your landscapes here?
Good Luck!

Number 2 because I like the more defined star burst of the sun. Number 1 seems to have a slightly more highlights on the far hills which I like, but not enough to beat number 2. The lighting is really perfect in these photos!
The starburst is better in #2, but I prefer the more shaded greenery of #1, and overall would have to go for #1.
