Magnificent scenes, Eddystone Rock is especially interesting.
Nice work, Mike. The Eddystone Rock is a curious formation, indeed.

Thank you very much Linda, the area gets a lot of fog and that might have causes the crash.

Thank you very much Karin, the story goes when the first explorer by ship went to Alaska, in the fog they taught it is another much larger ship they got scared and they turned around and left.

Thank you very much. The rock is also a hangout for seals but that time there were none there
Thanks for the photos Mike. Great set as always. Sad to hear about the lost plane. Coincidentally enough, I have been out there twice with Island Wings Air Service. I felt completely safe in the co-pilots seat in their de Havilland Beaver. It's a beautiful place.

Thank you very much Chris, I feel much better with my feet on the ground, don't like to fly. The pictures were taken from a Jet boat. A friend of mine was flying, I think it was called the GOOSE, daily twice from Anchorage to Kodiak like a Greyhound bus. He was stationed in Kodiak and since there are only a few miles of road there he averaged around 1,000 miles a year. He is retired now in Vancouver BC.

Sorry to hear about the accident.
I can certainly see what could have distracted them.
These photos are quite wonderfully done.
My bucket list has a new place to visit.
Thank you for sharing.

Nice set Mike. The last one was particularly interesting.Too bad about the loss of life. One of the hazards of flying in Alaska.
Sorry to hear of the accident, how sad for something like that to happen during what should have been a wonderful trip.
Great shots as always. Have to figure the Russians are still kicking themselves for selling the place!
