First operated in 1899, then steam driven! Replaced in 1978 by a Swiss design. Rises 120 metres in 5 minutes. On a fine day there is a glorious view from the top (Not today though - it was wet and windy)

Great photos. probably 29 years since I was on it, first trip on it would have been 1967. Another one for my bucket list, it will still be a thrill. Closest we will get to the Deniston Incline, that would have been an adventure.
Surely worth it Gazz and you can use your Gold Card. Pickl teh day thoug, probably a Tuesday :)
