Report on Tamron Tailgate Tour

Went with my daughter.
Got to see all their lenses.
Learned a couple of new things and several different ways to do things I already do.
Signed up for the drawing for a lens, they said they are doing 3 drawings this year, all people who attended the tour. So far they only have 572 signed up for this drawing and it is July 1 or so.
Took part in the evening session of the paid seminar. Got some useful info and examples. Got a Tamron tote bag full of brochures, notebook, pen, key ring, Tamron button etc.

Then came the door prize drawing, second item was a designer camera bag, black with multi colored dots all over it. Some one said it looked like a diaper bag. I opened my mouth and said a can of black spray paint would fix that, or tell everyone that your wife/daughter were shopping and you got stuck carrying the diaper bag. Then they called the number, I have given it to my wife to go with her new SX50 I got her for her birthday May 30th. The next number was my daughter's, she got a copy of Nat Geo's field guide to travel photography, I have the DVD, now we can go over both together.

Congratulations, Robert. Glad to hear that Tamron is taking such good care of its current (and potential) customers. Sounds like a thorough presentation.

Seems to me that having your camera equipment in a bag that looks like that would be great camouflage. Who would steal a diaper bag?

Attended the tailgate tour here. Found team to be helpful and informative. Did not get lucky with give-aways, but enjoyed both day and evening presentations along with a nice lunch which was included. Well worth the money.

It sounds like it might be a worthwhile day trip to attend. So far it has not come any closer.

I've signed up for the Tour in Charlotte. What kind of discounts or coupons they give? I'm interested in making a purchase and I'm hoping this discount is worth the wait.
