Driving to the Senior Games held at St.Thomas Univ. Going there will be just driving and a two night rest, but returning will be more relaxed. Places you would recommend stopping at for shooting? Historic sites, botanical, scenic? Thanks, Arlene

There are lots of things to see and take photos of around St. Paul.

Como Park if beautiful. They have a nice zoo and conservatory full of beautiful plants and lots of photo ops. There are some historic homes like the Alexander Ramsey house. This is a Victorian era home. The James J. Hill house belonged to the builder of the Great Northern Railway. These two homes have lots of photo ops.

You could visit Fort Snelling and/or the Cathedral of St. Paul. There is a raptor center at the U of M in Minneapolis.

If you drive south of St. Paul, you could see where the Mississippi river meets the St. Croix River in Prescott, WI. From Prescott there is the Great River Road that can take you to Red Wing, MN or you can stay on the Wisconsin side of the river to see some of the quaint and scenic towns like Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Pepin and Alma. All very nice river towns.

Sounds like I could be very busy. Thank you. I'm going to keep all suggestions and map them out. I'll have plenty of time to plain our itinerary while my husband is doing his work outs!
