Hello,

I have some images that were taken on one memory card. I tried to copy them to my main memory card and they show up when I look at the card on the computer but not when I look at images on the camera. Any idea how I can merge them so I can also see them on the camera?

Thanks,
Bill

I don't really know why you need photo's from two different cameras to be on one card.

The camera creates a database, and you probably will find difficulties if you move that card to another camera.......that's why they always recommend formatting in camera.

My advice is to avoid switching memory cards as you may find it'll get corrupted and you'll lose your photos!!!

However, if you must try it, go into memory card symbol and try file number - recover image database.

You are best just keeping the card for a particular camera. these cards don't like being swapped!

Thanks RJM. Its the same camera. I was on vacation and left card at home so bought a cheap one. My regular card is large enough so I just wanted to keep all the images on the larger card. They are on the card, they just dont show up when reviewing them.

Thanks, Bill

Got you now!

I wouldn't fart about then - keep the two cards separate or you might find you'll corrupt your card/s and lose your valuable photos!

I download onto my computer after every shoot and then reformat the card.

My tutor was a master photographer with MANY years of experience in fashion, wedding and tutoring and he explained the cards eventualy wear out and are prone to go corrupt. He also told me not to delete in camera as this can foul the camera database.

I know he's right as I've had SD cards play up doing just that!

Your a lucky man.
Sometimes when you move a card from one camera to another the camera erases everything on the card.

Be careful with that.

Oh, perhaps I misunderstood what you said.
Sorry, I guess I need to learn how to read. haa.

Yes, sometimes when I photoshop photos and save them to the card I cant see them. They download fine though
