Very interesting shot, Paul.

"Mexican hat" coneflower - Ratibida columnifera - in the daisy family, Asteraceae. Native to much of western North America in prairies and plains, along roadsides, etc.

Thank you. I learn something everyday on this forum. I was in a town called Mexican Hat once....Utah I think.

I also just learned that Blenheim Orange is a variety of apple.....whoda thunk.
