Tamron issues service advisory re Canon 5DS & 5DsR

I don't have a Canon camera, but for those of you who may have bought the 5DS or 5DsR, there are several lenses that need the firmware service update, including the 150-600. Thought I'd just pass this on for anyone with that camera.

That's very nice to do that especially with all the update problems that were out there with the 7d and 7d mkII with the tamron 150-600. I'm guessing you just saved a lot of headaches!

Does this include ALL the 160-600 lenses or only the earlier releases? Mine came the end of October, 2014.

From what I can find, it only affects autofocus in live view mode.

The article states exactly which lenses are affected. It apparently only applies to those particular Canon cameras. This is something different from the firmware upgrade that was needed on the 150-600 lens.
