I have had the yen for a D7100 ever since they came out. Have not had the means to purchase one until now. I pulled the trigger today as NIKON had a huge instant rebate on the D7100 and today was the last day. Saved $500 on the D7100 with the 18-140mm lens combo. I will be under the learning curve for a while as I stepped up from a D80. Lots more adjustments and bells and whistles on the D7100. Here is photo number 15 taken about 4 hours after purchase. It is straight from the camera except for cropping and resizing. Am I on the right track? Have a GREAT DAY!

Great!!!I went from a D90 to a D7000 and found the learning curve was very easy. The D7100 is even better so you should enjoy all it has to offer. Keep posting your pictures so we might be able to keep up with your progress.

When I bought the D7100 I also bought this book: http://www.amazon.com/David-Buschs-Digital-Photography-Guides/dp/1285763092/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1435571132&sr=1-3&keywords=books+for+Nikon+D7100
He walks you through every menu, and there are many of them.

Thanks to all for stopping by and your kind comments. I have no doubt that I will enjoy the D7100. My next step is to mount it on my Sigma 50-500mm Big Ma and see how that works. Will post photos after I try it. Have a GREAT DAY!
