This is the "New Presque Isle Light Station", new, as in built in 1870 to replace the old 1840 light. It has a 113 foot brick tower, and a Third Order Fresnel Lens, automated in 1970.
Beautiful color, both sky and lighthouse. This is a very photogenic structure.
Another great example of "Pure Michigan". Nice capture.
