Thanks for the suggestion!

Amazon is out of hard copy but I wanted kindle anyway because I'm off to Europe tomorrow. Put it on my kindle paper white for that purpose because of its light weight and very long battery life (with wifi off).

I broke my rule of never spending more than $10 for a kindle book because this one has enhanced value: videos. They and the color are great on my iPad. I haven't tried yet on the paper white but don't expect the videos to work there.

I have long recommended Bryan Petersons book "Understanding Exposure" as an excellent guide for newer photographers having trouble getting a grip on the exposure triangle, and while he is heavy into manual exposure, the guide is useful for any mode of photography.

I just came across another book by Peterson called "Exposure Solutions". It looks to have been on the market for a couple of years now but I had never seen it or even heard of it. Last night I read the book and was impressed with the concise coverage on how to handle many difficult exposure situations. Much of the book is somewhat a re-hash of techniques in his previous guides, but the smaller size and more intent information makes this book a very good read for anyone who has had problems with particular exposures. If you can get your hands on a copy, it is well worth the $20 price. A little cheaper on Amazon.

The iPad kindle version is nice. Full color images and seamlessly linked audio and video.

My paper white kindle is least good. No audio or video and, obviously b&w.

My old kindle fire is in between. Color but no audio or video. I don't know why because the machine does both otherwise.

I suspect the newer HD Fires will do it all also but I don't have one of those: my iPad supersedes them.

Thet have several of his other books for Nook also.
While there I got Plug In with Nik: A Photographer's Guide to Creating Dynamic Images with Nik Software by John Batdorff I use NIK and needed this book, One of the guys teaching the classes for the Tamron Tailgat Tour uses NIK and talked about it during the seminar.

Thanks Carter. Really enjoyed Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure." Will try "Exposure Solutions" if you think it will be worth it. George

own that book also. I second MT's recommendation. also have his book on flash photography as well as portraiture. He is such a good writer and teacher that we forget just how good he is as a photographer

Amazon sells and delivers almost anywhere. That is where the book can be found. It is well worth the read, and re-read. Enjoy!
