I scanned this 5x7 print, and wish to remove the two distracting heads from the background. I have ViewNX2, Capture NX 2 and Capture NX-D. All help appreciated. Thanks.

This is my attempt.

MMC, would you mind telling us how you removed both back ground persons from the photo?

Thanks.

I managed to rid the lady but did not want to try to rid the man in black. All of my PP was the Patch Tool and the Clone Tool. Still the patch tool caused a significant amount of color drag that had to be cloned out.

Just curious... and need the learning experience too.
Thanks
Dave

you can clone it out if you are patient enough or put a texture layer mask on it.

Cloning the horizontal slats in the background would work. Just need to be careful that they're lined up and not wavy.

I was using clone tool then I selected background and used Gaussian Blur filter.

Thanks MMC!
I pondered the idea but thought about the time it would take and then reading how easy it was on some of the others decided to wait to see what/how they did it.
Might try your cloning to see just how much time it would
take me.
Thanks again MMC!!

In my opinion . . .
The guy in Black is OK, but the Red haired lady is still very obvious. As 'they' say; "to each his own",
