We can all recognize the Hibiscus flower but take a look at its pollen.
Hibiscus was shot with a 50mm lens, the pollen was shot with an old Minolta 28mm MD reversed on extension tubes.

Thanks, reversed lenses get much closer than the run of the mill macro lens, the only macro lens that I know of that gets this close is Canon's specialty lens the MP-E 65.
