McDonald's first "self-serve" being tested now ...

Do you really think that McD's, will provide well paid jobs, for everyone after a year?
To the idiot in England.
In the USA it is not the corporations job to provide well paid jobs for everybody.
The corporations duty is to provide a return to investors. Most do this by proving a product to their customers at a cost they are willing to pay.

To the big man, (when he's on the internet).
I was responding to the last sentence of this comment.

The left has no clue what will happen, but I am sure the President will blame the GOP and anyone else he doesn't like. It should be called entry level wage, not minimum wage anyways.
Just be carefull you don't forget when you're not typing.
Self-pay certainly not new. We have been in training to accept them for years from the old vending machines to the biggest scam of all - ATM's. See self pay stations used more in some food markets. They appear to be duds for the most part from what I have seen. If I wanted to take my wife out to eat, I would like some personalized contact and service from a human to make recommendations, maybe make you feel like your business is appreciated etc. I could see a higher degree of success if discounts were offered for using self-pay, but they are not. Higher profits, reduced service, fewer jobs. Just one more reasons besides the food to avoid McDonalds in my opinion.
Argument for $15 minimum wage is moot. Employees can't force businesses to provide regardless of how many marches they do. It is my understanding McDonald's received an exemption for obama care, so they wont be getting that either. As for time off, companies don't have a thing to say about it as long as it is covered under FMLA. It is a federal requirement. Much ado about nothing. In the meantime expansions continue, profits are going up with less and less being paid to employees. Just another excuse to pay less, nothing more.
I would like to see them get more money, but not sure if mandatory minimums are the best way to go except for possibly disabled workers who are trying to make a living instead of being on the public dole, which by the way, companies are paid bonuses through tax exemptions for hiring them.
Yeh, like I said, the idiot in England flapping his jaws.

Oh that's a good one. You are truly a shining wit, (as Doctor Spooner would have said).
Maybe those who want to use invective and name calling should find another forum to use their skills.

Perhaps some could stick to the topic matter.

I am sure that the OP had a topic in mind and does not care to see it twisted and turned. There are other sections on UHH where one can specifically express their religious and or sexual believes. As a last resort, one can just leave well alone and start their own topic. Hitting the unwatch button is also a good way of self expression.
That's all.

This is my topic though. I am too polite not to answer sincere posters and will give libtard trollers a run for their money. :XD:
when all the jobs that can be are outsourced, when all the places that can be are self serve, and when robots are building robots, what will we do with all the unemployed former workers????? and don't give me that " they will all be absorbed in new industries" crap.

Don't forget that 'they' and their leadership make themselves not viable by their demands for more and more.
It will be interesting to talk about this as an academic subject but the facts are that labor has to compete with other labor and machines. How progressive is that?
Capitalisms keeps things in balance. unbridled communism leads to chaos, discontent, and poverty.

unbridled capitalism seems to be giving unbtidled communism a run for it's money. considering that wages for the working stiff have stalled or gone down, wheres the balancve???//

Schools are turning out more dummies. More dummies means lower pay. Not so hard to understand.

Wellheim....Here's a multiple choice question for you. Is the following picture:
1: An Ecuadoran missile silo
2: The dance floor from a Quito nightclub
or
3: The house that Jack built
