LR 2015 Adjustment Brush Functioning Differently

I installed CC 2015 LR and PS last week. The Adjustment Brush in LR seems quite different. First, the "Show Selected Mask Overlay" used to be a deep red--you couldn't miss where you were laying down the mask. Now it's a very faint, translucent red. On dark colors it's hard to tell where the edges are. I find myself going over and over an area to make sure it's evenly covered. Second, the degree to which the slider adjusts the area being edited seems much less. I don't think I ever went to +4 or -4 to adjust an area of a photo. In the last week I've used +4 several times and even then it wasn't enough of an adjustment, and the areas being adjusted weren't all that out of whack in the first place.

I am wondering if perhaps there is an internal setting somewhere that affects the opaqueness of the Mask Overlay as well as the strength of the Adjustment Brush? Anyone?

At the bottom of the Brush adjustment panel is a slider marked "Density". The slider controls the opaqueness of the mask. Hold down the shift key and press "o" on the keyboard to cycle through the mask overlay colour options.

It sounds like the Brush > "Flow" setting is not at maximum (e.g. 100). Slide it to the far right (e.g. 100). You can also adjust it with the number keys on the keyboard. Type "5" to set the Flow to 50. Type a zero to set it to the maximum 100. Also, check the Brush > Density. Set it to 100.

Thank you all. I did indeed need to set both Flow and Density to get the clarity I had before installing LR 2015.

Searcher, good to see you back. Hope you are well and that your health is improving.
