This is interesting. I just got another update from lynda.com about their new courses. In terms of the Adobe products represented, with the CC now replacing free-standing Adobe products, the only people to benefit from services like lynda.com and Kelby will be those who subscribe to the CC, at least where Adobe products are concerned. PS and LR are just $10/mo, but if you want others that used to be separate, it could cost quite a bit more. While Lynda and Kelby are keeping up with training for the ever-changing Cloud, it's bound to cut into the number of people who sign up for Adobe programs. I can't see them making new lessons for old programs.
Both companies offer lessons on hundreds of different topics, aside from Adobe and photography, so I'm sure they'll survive, but they must be noticing a difference in enrollments. Since lynda.com is now owned by Linkedin, I wouldn't be surprised to see more business-related offerings.
If you are on LinkedN, you get 21 days of Lynda 'free'. Whatever they call 'free'? May not be the same, as my definition of 'free'?

Anyone can get a week of Lynda for free - once, anyway. I guess 21 days is three times as good.

I get online training from my job for many work-related things--I can access it from home.
I noticed that Lynda is included in my training options--just have to make sure I keep this job.

Can you give me a link to that 21-day trial?

I think you have to be a member of LinkedIn, whatever? It was an email from linkein the other day.

I am a member, in name only, but I don't recall receiving an email. No big deal. Apparently, this expired on June 22.
I keep checking Lynda to see if there are enough new, interesting courses to entice me to sign up for another month.

I've gotten the free week a few times.

A few times? I thought that was a one-shot deal? I find that a week isn't long enough. I like to spread it out over a month.

Tried to get a link from the e-mail, failed. It was from the 23rd, said I had seven days to enroll.
Here's the fine print,
*21-Day Free Trial Terms: At the end of your 21-day trial, you'll automatically be enrolled in a membership that will renew each month/year. Offer is valid from 12:00am PST June 23 2015 until 11:59pm PST June 29 2015.

It's nice getting three weeks for free, and of course, you can quit at any time. I'll wait till they have more new courses that interest me and then sign up for another month.
Udemy.com always has sales for photo courses.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I found about a dozen on Lynda, so I might sign up for another month.
