Right! My son was in the Navy at the time. I think he was a Petty Officer first class at the time. Just before 9-11 he was thinking of leaving the Navy and working with his friend. 9-11 came along and it completely changed him.
He retired last year with 21 years of service as Chief Petty Officer.
