They only look that close together because of the extreme telephoto lens used and the further plane being the larger one. The two planes are on two different runways.
You should watch military planes taking off (or less often landing) in formation on one runway.
O'Hare in Chicago has runways that cross in an X. Now that can get exciting to watch. I once saw 6 planes on the two at once, and two others coming in to land. One at the end of its rollout turning off each runway. One turning onto the runway to take off on each, and one either accelerating to take off or just landed on each. Plus the two off in the distance coming in for a landing. It was timed and conducted like a ballet with a stage full of dancers.
