So this brewery has about 30 different kinds of microbrew beers; all having flashy names.
ONE of them is called "Sweet Baby Jesus." (It's a chocolate and peanut butter flavored porter beer.)

Can you guess what happened?

People complained to several of the grocery stores in Ohio and so they took it off of the shelves.

Yep...you read that right...the NAME of a beer was so offensive to them that they had it removed.

SO....I thought I'd do my part and buy a six pack. :)

This was taken with my X100T, with one speedlight in a 40" umbrella to the slight left.

ISO 200 f/4 ss 1/125 (my usual settings for flash)

Definitely, a good photo of a collector package of beer.

Good job. People will find just about anything to complain about.

Personally, I'd be more offended trying to drink a peanut butter/chocolate drink.

Yes, it's pretty good but it's very potent...I'll only have one.

Serious question. Just curious... What is the difference in you buying the beer to protest their opposition to the name, and their protest for the product and subsequent support of the place that ceased to sell it? Just curious......

I didn't buy it to protest their opposition, I bought it to try it and to put $10.00 in the company's pocket.

I DO think it's pathetic though that the name of the beer is so offensive to someone that they have to complain about it and I think it's equally as spineless that the stores fold up at the first sign of trouble.

Everybody is a bunch of spoiled whiny babies these days.

Just curious... Do you think anything should be prohibited in a name of a product? If so what? And as a store owner is there a product you would not carry because of the name or brand?

Good for you! I'm more amused than offended these days when I hear about stuff like this... after all as Forrest would say 'stupid is as stupid does' and I think it was Einstein that said 'the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has it's limits'. But just consider this.... look at all those folks as prospective candidates for the Darwin Awards! Great shot, BTW & I'm guessing about 12% to 18% alcohol by volume?

I don't know I've never thought about it.

If I personally was a store owner there are certainly lots of things I wouldn't carry for all kinds of reasons.
