Well, I could not resist and took a drive out to see how mom and the chicks were doing. The short answer is "fine". The chicks are growing and mom looks as though she needs a break from feeding them. I watched them for a half hour today, and she never stopped tearing meat off the fish and feeding it to her hungry threesome. Papa stayed in a nearby tree and kept a watchful eye on the surroundings.
Enjoy them, please.
Wonderful shots... That first one is tops!
Great set. Number 1 for me, too.

Thanks, Frodo. That's my favorite of this bunch, too. I had enough sense today to actually take video of her feeding the chicks. Came out half decent!

Excellent shots indeed!
Thanks, Bob. These birds are really fun to watch and photograph. It's a bit of a drive, but I think it's worth the trip. I plan to follow them until they are out of the nest or until we have to leave on our next trip.

Thank you Sylvia. I really like #1, also. Reminds me of a family portrait.

Thanks, Linda. These were shot with my D5200 and Tamron 150-600. I also shot several with my SX50. They are also very clear. It's just that the D5200 shots had more of the "cuteness" factor - it was all in the timing!
Great captures, Mike. I love Ospreys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
