The landlord had NO idea I'd have my photographic way with the seashells he dumped in my side yard to eventually become driveway fill.

What a wonderful opportunity to get some great shots and take advantage of your landlord! :D :D :D

I was bored and in a funk... my instructions from concerned photog friends were to go snap SOMETHING... ANYTHING... even a dandilion if need-be.
And next thing yanno, PILES of whole (and very large, I might add) seashells, the likes of which I've NEVER had the pleasure of encountering walking along a beach... were right there for the picking.
I took TONS of photos to play around with later, shared these and my friends weren't worried anymore. lol
Plus: I kept many of the special shells! :)
Thank you for looking and compliment

#4 is a shell of a stand out!!! What?

It occurs to me that I've failed as a photographer, here.
None of these give any hint to how LARGE they really are!
I shall have to remedy that...
Beautiful, Crisp shots, and very well composed. Excellent job. Big or small, I like them all!
Well, you have Atlantic Moon Snail (round), Sea Scallop, and Surf Clam (oblong) shells. You might even have some Quahog shells (which is another name for clam). I'll bet if you take a walk along an inland river not far from the ocean and look at the banks, you will find fossil shells of all sorts. The black scallop shell looks like it is in the process of being fossilized. You will have fun with these shells for a long time. Hopefully, you will take enough that he will go get more for you to play with.
Theresa, you've captured the beautiful designs within those shells as well as their arrangements! Sad to use them as driveway fill. :(

Good eye Tilde. I shoot every thing. You never know you might need to pull it out of your files.
