I was in London last week (5th trip in 35 years) and I'm thinking about making a second trip this year in a month or so. Can't get enough.
Happened by accident into The Greenwich Foot Tunnel built in 1902 that crosses beneath the River Thames in East London, linking Greenwich (Royal Borough of Greenwich) in the south with the Isle of Dogs (London Borough of Tower Hamlets) to the north. The tunnel was empty for just several minutes and then twenty qr so school children entered on a supervised trip. There is a large lift or elevator down to the tunnel. It has one big easy-to-push button to let users start the trip up or down. When I took it a young woman with a large friendly dog got on and the dog stood up in its hind legs to push the button with its front paws. Apparently the two use the tunnel on a regular basis.
