I am still wondering how the drop did not break/fall. I watched this little critter swim in this drop for about 10 mins. It rained really hard. Went outside to see what I could see. Between the size and movement along with light wind, perfect sharpness was not going to happen.

Surface tension
As a kid I used to carefully fill containers so I could see the water actually bulge up and show over the top edge without flowing off, seemed like magic.

Surface tension prevented it from overflowing the lip of the jar.
