Pat, I got myself a waterproof camera to use in Hawaii next week. Planning to do a little snorkeling, and didn't want to leave my camera behind. Bought the Fuji XP 80 just for the fun of it. I'll let you see some next week maybe, if I get anything good enough.

In mean time here are a few archived bugs.

Beautiful shots.

Wow! I love those bees! Beautiful! Here are a couple of caterpillars, and a crystallis. (Not sure I spelled it correctly.)

What an unusual looking caterpilar in the first shots. These are all great.

Mornin y'all... :) Kind of a funny story about this bee pic.
It was storming yesterday and the rain was coming in the window near the computers, so I went to close the windows and found this bee dead on the window sill. Naturally I had to grab a tissue and pick it up and then photograph it lol. I sat it on a small piece of white paper, put the extension tubes on the camera to get closer ... and as I had it in my sights focusing... the wind blew in and moved it. Omg, I screamed and nearly jumped out of my skin .. even though I knew it was dead ... it scared the hell outta me hahahhahah.

Poor little guy. I think I would have freaked out as well, especially if it was a big spider. lol. Nice shots.

When I walked into the Butterfly Pavilion the other day I noticed how hot and humid it was in there and of course my camera lens fogged over instantly. Walking around I saw this butterfly land on a flower right next to the large window which gave the background this foggy look.

This is called a Queen butterfly closely related to the Monarch.

Lovely Lori. A wonderful challenge and enjoying all the posts. In VA without my laptop. ... but thought I'd participate with this shot from my phone. ....

Remembered this shot from last year. My husband planted a small garden, our first in years. I was so proud of our first cuke & took a picture. Only when I uploaded did I see the 'photo bomber.'

I was wondering if you still used your extension tubes😉
