Amazing that it has survived in such good condition and is now put to such a good use.
Here in the desert, if things are kept inside, they last indefinitely.

For all of us old guys, this was known as a "Bendix".
Grandma had one on the back porch.
And more than just one kid trying to help without supervision got an arm caught in the wringer, sometime with very tragic results. So much for the good old days.
Reminds me of the washer put to that use by my Mom. You might have caught my post of a Night Blooming Cereus. That washer wasn't in as good a shape. She kept in on the front porch. I used to help my Grandmother do the laundry with one of these where it was set up out on the gravel driveway. It had rollers and we put it away in a shed when finished.
