Have any of you discovered any big improvements in the update from 2014? I mean this from the perspective of heads up photography editing only and not from graphic designer or other types of uses.

Thx

One that came out today is a Haze tool.

Thx bsprague. Probably not a biggie for me, I spend a lot of time making my shots as clear and sharp as possible...

My cursory look at this indicates it's rather impressive.

Or de-haze ;) which came came in 2015.1 and does not come in 6.1(stand alone). They also added a black and white slider to the brush and both grad and radial filter.

Let's not forget they added HDR and stitch and some speed up which some people say does not work for them, in the original. It's not clear what your system needs to have(memory, disk, configuration, etc, etc) to take advantage of the giddy-up.

Tried to stich 9pano photos and computer locked up. First time ever with Lr or Photoshop. 8G always worked OK all around for me but maybe need more RAM for the pano?

LOL!
Would one REALLY go out and purchase more memory just so they could stitch 9 photos?
I would maybe try stitching 3 and 3 and 3 then try stitching those together before I ran to the memory store.

I would hope not or there will a vast number of pissed off people. Did you try the age old re-boot to cleanup memory. You have 8 but how much is available. Might you have a lot of processes running? Anywho jump into Facebook and look in Lightroom help group for some additional help

Thanks for the reply. I did not try it again but have had success before with Photoshop but only with 3-4 photos, not 9.

I like 2015 over 2014 becuase I like the start up photo better. To me, the 2014 start up photo looks like a fetus. The one in 2015 looks much nicer. Great improvement!

I use 32 gb, and the largest pano I've stitched is 41000x7200 px - or 300mp. I can do that in LR6, PS2015 and PT/Gui with no issues other than it is a 4 gb file when I get done and nothing happens fast with something that large. But a performance drop like this is not unexpected.
