While waiting for my own darn D800, I found some full resolution jpgs on line to view and print.
All I can say is wow!
This is exactly what has happened to me before. I bought the latest printer and then realized I needed a better camera to make it shine.
I'll never learn!
The D800 images are great.
http://mansurovs.com/nikon-d800-high-iso-image-samplesI printed the green woods image as I have nothing like it.
Hang in there my friend. I know how it sux when your really expecting something to arrive. I bet you are "hawking" every UPS truck that goes by.
Thanks Don.
I am very much the little boy about deliveries.
Today I got a battery for a Yashica GT 35mm rangefinder. Now I need to make the battery adapter. Keeps me busy.
Later I plan on using LR 4 and PS CS6 for the first time.
I gotta get ready for the big files. lol
Actually I plan to shoot the D800 slower and not wildly. A self imposed shot limit by file and card size will be fine with me.
More keepers and less discards are my new game.
We still have great weather!

It's Christmas Eve all over again. Got my PJ's on, and going to bed early so Christmas will come sooner, but I can't get to sleep. I just worry if my technique and lenses are up to the challenge.
